The latest episodes I've coloured of Charleys War which first appeared in Battle Action weekly back in 79 so I was 6 when these hit the newsagents .. Story Pat Mills Art-Joe Colquhoun Lettering John Aldrich updated by Jim Campbell (originally the type was machine like It's been much improved in the Rebellion edition that came out a couple years ago) Scanned from mainly the original artwork by Moose Harris so quality in those editions is as high as the content of story)May even start the next episode tonight as I'd like to have these episodes coincide with the anniversary of the Battle of the Somme which is the first of July which is depicted in the following episodes .

Joe wasn't Italian (although I think they did have lots of Italians working in war comics) it's a Celtic name, Joe wasn't a soldier but he did serve in the Navy - but IT'S good to see people still as fond of this story as I am .. and here's a podcast
Battle Action is returnig which is Zarjazz news here's Garth who's written many of the new stories and John Wagner returns with HMS Nightshade( debating whether to colour that or Darkies Mob both stories are exceptional team up with the great Mike Western
The Latest Rogue Trooper story is most awesome -feel like ruining it with colour lol -Patrick Goddards great a great all rounder like Joe -should there be a need for Charleys War spin off or prequel it would be between him, Chris Weston and Glenn Fabry as my choice artist- but I guess that won't happen still "one can dream" as Gilbert the Alien used to say
