Raiders of the Lost Vault

In Anticipation of Indiana Jones and The Great Circle had a go at a Indy playthrough (it's PS4 this time so way more vanilla than prior playlist which were created on PC but I do try to utilize the mods that are availiable on ps4 which is a drop in the ocean in comparrison to whats availiable on computer but steam and bank expect me to have a smart phone lately which I don't have so gone back to PS4 for this until I get problem sorted in two minds to get a XBOX series X or S, but really want to play Fallout London when it arrives next month so may it'll more than likely be P.C but we'll see Fallout show looks really good getting dude from Hateful Eight to play The Ghoul and tieing it back to the pre war era is a genius move No doubt I'll feature more about show on both blogs -but back to Indy not only amI colouring Rogue Trooper(almost finnished ) Star Wars, Charleys War .Dredd and Anderson but now started colouring The Further Adventures of Indiana Jones the original John Byrne two issues from 1982 can't wait to show some of that but gotta make myself complete all these projects easier said than done-but "hey it's me" The follow up to Raiders of Lost Vault -"Indiana Jones and The Institute of Doom" will follow sometime in the spring.

 Everything came to a stop over the last fortnight  as my computer packed in ,, losing all the pages I was in process of colouring these included The Cursed Earth Part 3, Darkies Mob , Slaine episode one , Judge Anderson , Danger Man, The Avengers and some Coolies Gun pages and Walt Simonsons. John Buscema and Klaus Jansons Raiders adaptation so a bit cheesed off to say the least -but compare them to other peoples probs these days its no biggie  -taught me to work on one thing at a time I guess instead of multiple projects which i've been doing lately  .. I did manage to post a  few of these on feckbook  before computer calamity and coloured two of these this morning

The Cursed Earth Fanart Colouring Project -Chapter 2 "Into the Darkness"

Art Brian Bolland original inside cover of the Titan edition from back in the day (second attempt at this although need to find original book in bookcase and scan that as the logo typeface is better than my improvosation here) Been a sad time lately what with the awful situation  in Gaza and the death of another comics legend Ian Gibson who drew this Landraider for Eagle Comics crime files .

I'll try and colour some more of Ian pagres in the new year-may have a go ata few  Death Game 1999 pages he did  in Action -could be early Mega City  where Joe Taggart  is been stiched up by the law  a glimpse of 2000ad about two years before it existed  he was always ahead of his time -But  onto the story -Story Pat Mills Art Mike McMahon and Lettering Tom Frame.

Had to have Land Raider  as it was coloured by Matchbox -adventure 2000 stylee Merry Christmas if at all possible.

The Cursed Earth -Colouring Project -Chapter 1 Forbidden Fruit!

I've coloured this  Mike McMahon page before with much more murkier sloshy colours (tried to go for something different from original it didn't work for me https://johnohvision.blogspot.com/2023/03/colouring-project-judge-dredd-cursed.html ) like the Action cover the other week if it's not broke don;t fix it so in this instance it's far closer to the original as it's a truimphant image - plus had to make the Landraider more like the Matchbox toy (I can't wait till the next centrespead as it's one of the best ) I think Mike was about 22 or 23 when he drew these pages -Genius but through hard work The Cursed Earth Episode One -Story Pat Mills-Art Mike McMahon Lettering Tom Frame

Only 200 odd pages to go (which is nothing compared to Charleys War and Slaine ...which I've been working on over the week as well as Darkies Mob .. trying out different stories lately gives me a reason to get out of bed .. R.I.P Red O'Donnell whose early adventures with Dredd can be read in the novellas The Rightous Man and Fallen Angel by Michael Carroll I hope Year Four is in the pipeline as that would be a major event in the Dreddverse the outbreak of Civil War between Mega City One and Texas City..I'm hoping that's canon.

Jeez what a planet can't even trust the BBC globe anymore needs to be attacked by Emu. .. wish people pay attention to my prior posts .. having a go at Slaine at the moment.. he's 40 already .. makes me feel young again as I coloured same episode as a teenager in felt tips  so it's fun to return years later.
