Hypsville 365ad Playlist Update 18

Second Virtual disc from Beanotown Punks The Gnash

A few Silver Ramons recordings from 1972

Had some Tim Muttley tracks that sounded like the Music Machine plus a few failed attempts at creating a Scott Walkeresque singer so I created the Muttley Machine

Not sure I leave some mp3s up as long as they should but everything progresses in real time when it's me

Another go at the Laser 558 era

Finkin all the time , guess it's natural

1D by the Early Burds (which is how much it cost to make)

Third Can't recording Tango Mango -I'll post the rest once Suno can work out how not repeat same violin lines

Electric Thangs .. Sticky Fingers next or Parachute

Illustration Brendan McCarthy -I had a load of Doorsy songs I'm colouring Zenith at the moment so hopefully this will link to next post seamlesly -Lux is in Red Dragon the Zenith spin off too , might compile a Zenith soundtrack at some point

Hypsville365ad Playlist -Update 17

Updates for AI music  playlist an attempt at capturing the spirit of "The Idiot  by Iggy Pop -not my first attempt at the Ig  -I've tried recreate Stooges miusic before but doesn't come close to original sound  but I'm bound to have another go at some point in time

Zinc Doodlebug III -like Zep 3 it's half hard  rock half folk with robo mandolins and banjos although my version of Percy Plant don't sound alike (something I need to work on for Zinc Doodlebug IV)

Soon as I saw the power of the  Portland frog (who's actually a toad ) I had to put together an EP -I wanted to do a Portland Punk band like the Wipers or Dead Moon  and I already had songs about frogs and toads  so it was a no brainer

Halfway through second Sonic Yolk recording  Udio's better at the avant garde tunings

And Halfway through second Alnight Warlocks recording  does lack that John Cale thing though  even though you try to describe it in prompts the next few songs I'll see if I can capture that

"My Name is Bad " 1977 Elvis Concreto (Why Concreto? he's got Concrete hands that smashes guitars lol)

Back to  90's Punk Rock Non Superstars "The Sell-Outs"  single released between "Nae Bother" and  1993's "Ex Utero"

"Tonic Flour Grove" Fatal Gasps 1987 debut on Cremation records ,

It's not a proper Hypsville365ad Playlist without a few Silver Ramons recording these date back to a virtual 1971 as the mainstream continue to ignore the genius of the Fab Five (but what do they know ever?)

Shannon DeJackie and the Early Burds  1966 single-trying to come up with a Eight Miles High  type tune for next Burds album but none come near to that sound just yet.

Needed to do a new soul record   also adding new tracks to 20 more Funk Jazz Greats

Sequel to El Mestizo soundtrack from a few monthes ago from Lalo Morricone- should colour 2nd episode 2 someday , it'll be a big improvement on the first episode as I won't rush it

More like a Young Micheal Stipe here but second LP from David Bonie the next one will be a blinder (hopefully)

From Bluest Smurfchester The Smurths debut album in the works

Quack -My Pomp Rockers kinda based on Queen

Finish off this post with The Ooo?  and 1966 ep "Ready Steady Gone" - not sure anyone even listens to these but  I don't give a monkeys , just  having fun making them.

Battle Action Double Bill-Fanart Colouring Project "Johnny Red Episode 3" & "The Sarge in Italy Ep 1"

Art Mike Western & Joe Colquhoun

A Battle Action double bill (could of been a triple bill  but latest Charleys War episode will need sprucing up a bit)

Nice Sized pages via Amazon I'll try and get scanner savvy for the next episode , this is my second attempt  after a few years..

Story Gerry Finely Day-Art Mike Western

All availiable in it's original black and white form  The Sarge Volume 2, Introduction by Garth Ennis  plus a new Sarge strip  Written by Garth and Art by PJ Holden

Johnny Red Episode 3 from February 1977 so I'm 4 when this came out and about 8 monthes away from Fluff & Nip reading book lol Story Tom Tully Art Joe Colquhoun

One of my most excellent presents for my birthday was a copy of Battle Action Volume 3 -featuring HMS Nightshade, Hookjaw the Shark, Kids Rule OK the return of Death Game 1999 ,Major Eazy, Mestizo, Hellman of Hammer Force,Nina Petrova and her Angels of Death, and a Dredger origin story , quality stuff good to see after 50 years still going from strength to strength and there may be a new Darkies Mob story in the works too maybe that will appear in a future volume.

Hypsville 365ad Playlist Update 16

Judge Dredd Fanart Colouring Project -"Judge Whitey"

Art by Carlos Ezquerra with my colour

The first Published Judge Dredd story now in JohnOVision colour " Judge Whitey" from Febuary 1977 in 2000ad prog 2:  Story Peter Harris and Pat Mills,Kelvin Gosnell Art Mike McMahon. Letters McGowan.

So Great they even predicted Bez from the Happy Mondays who dwells on Devils Island in 2099

I'll colour a few more early episodes sometime in the future -I need to get Mega City savvy by the time I complete colouring The Cursed Earth and Anderson is good excercise for Judge Cal  which is Mega City One based story so I'll know what I'm doing by then.  I wonder about why Whitey hates Dredd so much maybe they have history?  something I may explore in my own story "The Book of the Judges" if I can jumpstart myself to write and paint it.
